Gather your gal pal deer widows for the kick off of Bay City’s Sunday in City on November 15. Six Sundays leading up to Christmas showcase all of the “one-of-a-kind” businesses that downtown Bay City has to offer. The Sleigh of Gifts and Festival of Wreaths add to the activities. Holiday decorations, horse drawn carriage rides, strolling carolers and holiday movies at the historic State Theatre makes each Sunday very special for visitors.
The Leelanau Peninsula Vintner’s Association is getting ready for the annual Toast the Season wine trail tour November 7-8 and 14-15. Both weekends feature a special wine pour, accompanied by holiday themed gourmet food at each winery. The Leelanau Peninsula lies halfway between the North Pole and the Equator along the Earth's 45th Parallel. The 45th Parallel is also home to other renowned wine producing climates such as Alsace, Bordeaux and Burgundy. Wine lovers are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Take advantage of several hotel deals in the Traverse City area.
