The Mackinac Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere with 7,400 feet of roadway suspended in the air over the straits of Mackinac. Total length of the bridge, including its approaches, is approximately five miles.

History buffs will marvel at the museums and historic locations where looking back in time reminds us of who we are and where we came from. Adventure is always waiting on the lakes, shores and open waters of St. Ignace. The Straits has over a dozen lighthouses sprinkled over the islands, reefs and shores of Northern Lakes Michigan and Huron.

There’s always something fun and exciting going on in St. Ignace. From the Labor Day Bridge walk to car and truck shows in downtown, to the Bayside Farmer’s Market and much more. Bring the whole family!

Using St. Ignace as your hub, extend your vacation an extra day or two. Take a jaunt to one of the many Islands in the area. See all three Northern Great Lakes—all within an hour's drive from St. Ignace. Visit a number of Historic Cities and Towns.
