The Detroit area and its world-class attractions serve as a centerpiece for this region. The revitalized riverfront and downtown offer a range of one-of-a-kind experiences from fine dining and a leading-edge music scene to the renowned Detroit Institute of Arts.

In Dearborn, a southwest suburb, The Henry Ford delivers one of the nation’s premier living history experiences, including an old-time town where you tool around in a Model T, a vast car collection and tours of the historic Rouge Factory, still producing Ford trucks.

Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan’s lively home, nurtures rich food and art scenes. You also can explore one of the state’s newest wine trails and some of its most abundant antiques shops in quaint towns along historic roads that radiate from the metro. World-class music and art festivals add to this region’s appeal.
