Michigan Racetracks

Speed. It revs up our sense of competition. Sends our hearts racing. And compels us to jump up and cheer at the top of our lungs. Whether its from fast cars or fast horses, its speed, competition, and it's fun.   From oval tracks to drag strips to the thoroughbred or harness racing courses.  From Michigan International Speedway where NASCAR and Indy cars roar to Sports Creek Raceway where we can see live harness racing and marvel at the animals that coined the term horsepower. Let’s head off to the races, because the need for speed is Pure Michigan.

Michigan International Speedway (MIS), Brooklyn
Michigan International Speedway boasts a proud 40-year history of hosting America's best racing action on its 1,400-plus acres in the scenic Irish Hills. With 18 degree banking and 73-foot wide sweeping turns, Michigan International Speedway provides drivers with three and four grooves to run around the two-mile speedway. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide (formally Busch) Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series all race on the high banks of MIS.
