  • Travel Michigan is the official State of Michigan travel/tourism office. Our website is visited by millions of potential visitors each year.

    If you are a Michigan tourism property, we invite you to add it to our database of Michigan listings. To submit your property, please complete and submit our Property Survey form at the link at the bottom of this page. Please be sure that your property information is complete and accurate and that it fully meets the Criteria for Inclusion set by Travel Michigan and that you fit one of the categories. Travel Michigan will review and edit all property information and limit listings to those that best fit the criteria. Travel Michigan retains the sole discretion as to whether a property qualifies for the database and posting to our website. Once submitted, your property must be approved by Travel Michigan staff prior to appearing live on the website.     Criteria for Inclusion:  

    • Be tourist related and attract and serve travelers.
    • Be open to the general public (membership not required) and have physical location that visitors can go to for an experience.
    • Any destination that is only open 'by appointment only' or 'by chance' does not qualify.
    • You will not be included if  you are considered to have a negative impact on the Pure Michigan brand or the State of Michigan.
    • Food Service establishment should provide a unique and/or locally specialized type of menu, a very distinctive ambience that cannot be found in most food service properties.
    • Any fast food property or franchise property does not qualify.
    • Lodging is for short-term accommodation needs. Daily or weekly rental only - no leases or long-term commitment or longer than one week required.
    • B&B's and Lodges/Retreats must be open for individual reservations and not groups only. If groups only, does not qualify.
    • RV parks must be open for daily and weekly reservations and not be open only for seasonal RV sites that are purchased.
    • No summer camps or day camps allowed.
    • Only multi-store centers (no less than five stores) offering the visitor a variety of shopping opportunities.
    • Shopping areas that are likely to attract or be an interesting and/or unique activity for tourists.
    • Shopping area should be permanently available.
    • No general gift shops, clothing stores, kitchen shops, flower shops, quilt and material shops, garden centers and nurseries (unless grown in Michigan), jewelry stores unless they offer unique Michigan made products.
    • We do not accept logos, collages or image with text. Must be a visual image no larger than 345 pixels wide.
