Thanks a Million!

Flickr photo credit - Brian HudsonLast January, we had a little over 24,000 fans, and your support in 2010 and into 2011 has been amazing! In honor of the Pure Michigan Facebook page reaching 200,000 fans this weekend, we wanted to send out a special THANK YOU, and take you on a journey through some of the posts YOU liked the most over the past year!

In February 2010, our numbers had already grown to over 30,000 fans, and your most liked post was the one in which we congratulated Holland on being rated the #2 Happiest and Healthiest Place to Live in America.

By June, we had more than doubled our numbers and had reached 70,000! You were just as excited as we were to read an article written by the Washington Post, celebrating the beauty that is Marquette!

We had a great summer together, because by October, we had grown to over 150,000 fans! Once again, your favorite post featured yet another gorgeous Michigan destination, Traverse City, which had been featured by USA Today as one of 10 great places for local wines!

By February, 2011, we had reached a staggering 188,000+ fans, and together we celebrated the Chrysler ad from the Super Bowl that brought pride to so many of us.

It’s only one month later, and we’ve already surpassed 200,000 fans. We truly appreciate all of you, and your love of our great state. We share many things on our Facebook page – events happening throughout the state, blog posts right here on Pure Michigan Connect, special deals featured on our Pure Michigan Store, along with trivia questions, special stories and links we want to share with all of you. With that in mind, we’d like to leave you with a couple of videos that illustrate the beauty of our Pure Michigan.

Thank you for keeping us informed about what is going on in our state. Lots of things to enjoy that we’d never have known about if it weren’t for you!

    Fellow Michiganders
Was watching a special on NGC last week. They ran a special on the De Young Zoo up in Wallace Mi. It sure is something worth checking out. It is up in the U P and about a 4 hour drive from the Mighty Mac Bridge.
