It’s Link Roundup time again! This week’s photo was submitted to our Facebook page by Paul Wickersham, and it’s of Bond Falls, near Paulding. In addition to the photo, we’ve gathered some of our favorite links found in the news or submitted by you on our Facebook and Twitter that highlight some of the best things Michigan has to offer. Read on, and enjoy!

  • Michigan continues to be recognized for our wonderful fishing opportunities. The blog Loving Traverse City recently posted about many well-recognized fishing masters, and their appreciation for the fishing that Traverse City has to offer.
  • Last month, The Daily Beast ranked America’s Smartest College Towns, and Michigan had two towns make the list! We’re not sure how we missed this story, but we want to make sure to share it with all of you! Massachusetts and Michigan were the only states to have two cities make the list. Can you guess which Michigan towns made it?
  • For most Michiganders, baseball and Ernie Harwell go hand in hand. Starting today at Detroit’s City Theatre, fans have an opportunity to relive some of the famed baseball announcer’s past in a new play called “Ernie,” written by Mitch Albom. The play has an open run at the theatre, which is a block away from Comerica Park. Several of the show times are scheduled so people can take in the play before they go to see a Tigers Game.
  • As part of a program to bring underprivileged children to the zoo, the Detroit Zoo had Buddy’s deliver pizzas topped with things like bugs, rats, and raw meat to the animals. The children enjoyed watching the reactions of the animals to the delivery. Click through to watch a video showcasing the event.
