We’re constantly impressed by the photos fans share with us on social channels each day. This month, we saw a ton of stunning shots from the Pure Michigan Instagram community that were taken all across the state. Below is a roundup of just a few of our favorites. For more, see our March and April Instagram roundups and be sure to follow Pure Michigan on Instagram.

Thanks to the photos that have been shared with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, we’ve seen that Pure Michigan fans are capable of capturing the state’s nature and beauty like no other. If you follow Pure Michigan on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that we feature a number of these photos from fans each week.
We also handed over our account a couple of times this year to fans to take photos on behalf of Pure Michigan at exciting local events. @tonydetroit captured shots from the Pure Michigan 400 in August, while @jeepwriter was onsite at Navy Week in September to share photos. Now, we’re opening up our guest photographer program to you!
If you’d like to be considered to be a guest photographer on Pure Michigan’s Instagram page, please email your submissions to ContactUs@michigan.org. Here’s what we’ll need from you:
- First and last name
- Instagram username
- Email address (if it’s different than the one you’re sending from)
- City and state
- 1-3 paragraphs on why you’d like to serve as a guest photographer for Pure Michigan’s Instagram page, including your favorite Michigan events or attractions
- Optional: Twitter ID (and your permission to promote your content on Twitter and other social channels)
We won’t be able to feature everyone, but we’ll be in touch if there’s an opportunity for you.
As a reminder, you’re always welcome to tag your photos with #PureMichigan to give us permission to repost outside of the guest program. Again, we can’t feature everything, but we do look at all tagged photos and appreciate your sharing with us.
If you’re looking for other opportunities to share your photography skills, be sure to check out our Pure Michigan Moments photo contest (still running through November 9th, 2012).
