As 2012 comes to an end, it’s time to start thinking about how you will ring in 2013. What better way to celebrate the New Year than one of the many events going on across Pure Michigan? Below is a listing of several events for children and adults alike happening across the state.

New Year’s Bridge Drop

Downtown Marquette Ball Drop
Ring in the New Year at the Downtown Marquette New Year’s Eve Ball Drop. Celebrate the New Year and watch the annual ball drop from the Savings Bank Building at the corner of Washington and Front Streets starting at 11:30pm. Call (906) 228-9475 for more details.
Light Up the Lake: NYE Ball Drop
The Light up the Lake Ball Drop is an annual New Year’s Eve celebration in downtown Ludington for locals and visitors to enjoy–for FREE! Come celebrate the coming of a New Year in the streets of Downtown Ludington with music, an entertainment tent and Michigan’s largest New Year ’s Eve ball drop at midnight followed by a fireworks salute! Happy New Year! Join us in traveling “Through the Decades” this New Year’s Eve 2012! As you enter the gates you will travel back in time to the Roarin’ 20’s and travel through the decades all the way to the future! Midnight on Main
Make your way to the 2nd annual Midnight on Main! The Great Lakes Bay’s only New Year’s Eve Ball Drop event is happening in Downtown Midland and includes a New York City style ball drop, fireworks, beverage tents, ice sculpture carvings, sledding, entertainment stage and partnerships with the downtown businesses, Midland County Visitors Bureau, and local media. This event truly makes Midland a destination on New Years’ Eve! There will be events for the whole family, teens and adults. New Year’s Eve at the Art Center

New Year’s Eve Fest
This community performing arts celebration in downtown Kalamazoo features 24 performing artists in 10 buildings surrounding Bronson Park. Musical entertainment includes classical music, rhythm and blues, jazz, bluegrass and Christian contemporary. Performing artists include magicians, clowns, jugglers, storytellers and tricks. It’s a great event for families and for young adults with food featured at many of the sites. Admission is $5 for everyone over four years of age.
