Matty G., senior editor for Golf Digest, recently went on a tour of 12 golf courses in Oregon and Northern Michigan.  The 6 Michigan courses he chose were:

• The Bear – Grand Traverse Resort
• Arcadia Bluffs
• Links/Quarry - Bay Harbor Golf Club
• Fazio’s Premier – Treetops
• Smith’s Signature – Treetops
• Black Forest
• Forest Dunes

After playing through all of them, he rated Roscommon’s Forest Dunes his favorite.  In fact, the Michigan courses grabbed 3 of the top 5 spots on his list, and 4 of Matty’s top 5 holes were on Michigan golf courses!
