Harbor Springs
For generations, visitors have been coming to Harbor Springs to enjoy the nautical flavor of the area. Home to the deepest natural harbor in the Great Lakes, Harbor Springs is a haven for boaters. This northern Michigan town has attracted and maintained an upscale, close-knit community that includes family names like Gamble, Ford, Upjohn and Offield.
Several championship courses make for a terrific vacation for golfers and acres of conservancy lands offer hours of hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Charming is a word most definitely associated with the downtown area that boasts boutique shopping, varied dining, marinas and beaches.
