Belding was established in 1857 and is nestled along the Flat River in northwest Ionia County. The city has a rich history and enjoys the benefits of a small town quality of life. Community members are very involved with events, beautification and recreation. There are five appealing parks which are enjoyed for leisure time and recreational activities, with winding scenic pathways throughout. Treasured historic buildings include the Alvah N.
