Brethren is located in eastern Manistee County, north of M-55 on High Bridge Road(County 669) in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. It is an outdoor lover's dream and home of the famous Tippy Dam on the Manistee River's World class trout and salmon fishing waters.  Warm weather offers hiking, camping, canoeing and all season fishing on its lakes, trout streams and rivers. Cooler weather brings hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
