This village began as a station on the Port Huron & Northwestern Railroad. Founded in 1879 by Robert and John Brown and built on their farm. Today it is known as the "Home of the Motor Home." Summer Wind Farms Sanctuary  sits on 140 acres and is home to over 200 animals to live out their lives in a safe, well cared for environment.
