Small town of Chatham is located in West-Central Alger County in the Upper Peninsula.  It's a great place to visit and spend the day, as there are many different restaurants and places to visit within driving distance. It is situated among many small lakes, marshes and streams, including "Slapneck Creek," about a mile to the north, which suggests a component of the local ecology that likely once was a challenge to early settlers!
