The Magic Capital of the World! Colon's role in the world of magic began in 1925 when Harry Blackstone, the great magician and illusionist, lived in the small town.  Abbott's Magic Manufacturing Company is the largest manufacturer of magical implements in the world.  Visitors interested in historic architecture will enjoy seeing the downtown shops, library and old furniture factory.  The town is also the site of beautiful Palmer Lake, which features swimming, boating and fishing.
