Nestled just north of Lapeer is the quaint Village of Columbiaville. Here locals and visitors fish for walleye and channel cats in the Holloway Reservoir which is part of the Flint River.

Columbiaville has four parks on or near the reservoir, two are accessible by watercraft. Levi Cutting Park has a boat launch and picnic area, while Marine Park has parking slips for approximately ten boats and includes a picnic area.  Veteran's Park is located in the Central Business District and has a covered pavilion for special occasions. Vermilya Park is also located near the reservoir and has a band shell for entertainment.

The old train depot houses and the historic William Peters Mansion have been renovated and are currently used for meetings and special events.
