Dryden is a pleasant rural community nestled among the rolling hills of the southeast portion of Lapeer County.

The Dryden area is home to three Michigan Historical Sites. The Dryden Depot and Ladies Library Hall both located in the downtown area in the Village, and General Squier Park a half mile south of the Village on Mill and Casey Roads. The Dryden Depot become active on October 3, 1883. The Ladies Library Hall Association was established in 1871 to provide reading material at a small cost to the community now used as a public library. General Squier Memorial Park is the third historical site and is listed on the national register.

The scenic and natural beauty of Seven Ponds Nature Center and Jonathan Woods are prime wildlife and recreation areas.
