Located just a short distance northwest of Flint and only moments from the 1-75/23 corridor allows the people of Flushing to enjoy the advantages of a metropolitan area, while residing in a small town atmosphere. Scattered throughout the community are eight parks offering year-round activities for the entire family. Riverview Park hosts the free Concerts in the Park summer series, Movies in the Park, the annual Art in the Park, and also houses Tucker Pool and a pavilion for family and organization get-togethers. Flushing, known as the Cruise Capital of Michigan, hosts gatherings of 1972 and older automobiles every third Saturday of each month during the summer.
