Mason is located in central Ingham County, a few miles from the state capital in Lansing and serves as the county seat. This city has retained its stately courthouse gracing the public square, surrounded by well-preserved turn-of-the century buildings. Visit the Historical Museum and Antiques district.  Mason is a "Tree City USA" and has been bestowed that honor every year since 1990. Our park system includes a walking trail, skate park and roller hockey rink along with several neighborhood park facilities. Outside of town is the Spartan Speedway racetrack. Don't miss the granddaddy of all county fairs in Michigan, the Ingham County Fair, in late July.
