Mount Clemens is the county seat of Macomb County, located in  southeastern lower Michigan.  The Clinton River passes through Mount Clemens as it makes its way to nearby Lake St. Clair. Mount Clemens Public Library is one of the state's oldest public libraries. The area is home to an after-market auto parts industry, Lionel Trains factory, Morley Candy factory and Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Recreational facilities include Metropolitan Beach Metropark on Lake St. Clair, a municipal marina, and the Mount Clemens Ice Arena and Fitness Center. Come for a visit and stay awhile.
