The Fridge Toboggan Run

The Fridge - up to four riders swoosh down a 55-foot drop and zip along 950 feet at speeds in excess of 30 miles per hour. Toboggans are provided and transported by park staff.

Waterford Township is an outstanding community to live, work and play. It is abundant in natural resources- lakes, rivers and streams. Visitors have a choice of recreational activities when visiting Waterford Township. With 32 lakes and streams throughout the community there is plenty of opportunity for a diverse array of water sport activities (fishing, canoeing, skiing, tubing, sailing, and more). Bring your own watercraft or rent at one of our many marinas. We also have several parks with amenities for camping or a picnic with friends and family. Waterford Oaks, a 153 acre park, offers a court game complex, BMX track, the Waterpark and the Fridge. The Waterpark includes The Wave, a 475,000 gallon wave action swimming pool, Ragin’ Rapids group raft ride, Big Bucket water playscape and the Slidewinder, a giant double waterslide. Our parks, lakes and steams also provide great winter fun. Snowmobiling, ice skating, cross-country skiing or a trip to The Fridge (Michigan's only refrigerated toboggan run) keep visitors entertained. Come play and stay in Waterford Township.

Waterford Township is approximately 25 miles northwest of Detroit and is the third largest township in the State of Michigan. With a population of over 73,000 and composed of 35.1 square miles, it is situated in the center of Oakland Country, the fourth most affluent county in America. We are also the home of the Oakland County International Airport which serves corporate, charter and private general aviation activities as well as U.S. Customs service for international flights.
