Martin has long served as the King's Knight in the Gloriana Renaissance Festival. However, his girlfriend Emma seeks greater glory for both herself and her love. Through deceit and guile, the two take Gloriana for their own, ousting the current King. But they soon discover that taking the kingdom is much easier than keeping it. A comic re-imagining of Shakespeare's Macbeth.
This is part of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival's "Lend Us Your Ears" Reading Series, which offers audiences the opportunity to join MSF directors, actors, and artistic staff as they explore diverse and exciting plays. These script-in-hand readings feature MSF Company Members as well as guest artists. Each performance is followed by a talk-back discussion with the director and cast about the show.
