Join scientists and stewardship staff for a special tour of Grand River Fen Preserve. This sensitive preserve is not open to the public, so don't miss your opportunity to hike the headwaters of Michigan's longest river during peak wildflower season. This is a moderate-level hike covering approximately two miles through prairie fen, upland restored prairie, and oak savanna habitats. Participants should wear rubber boots, bring water, and be prepared for the elements. Due to a limited trail system and rugged nature of this field trip, we do not recommend young children to attend. Participants must be able to remain with their guide through the entirety of the hike.
Call Mary Louks at 517-316-2260 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by October 3. Space is limited.
