A special farmers market will be held on the east lawn of the State Capitol, Thursday, August 28, 2014, 10am to 3pm, rain or shine. You will be able to purchase a wide variety of products, including fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, jams, jellies, baked goods, honey, maple syrup, fish and meat, salsas, dips, pickled products, soaps and more. All of this is just a sample of the more than 200 agricultural commodities produced in Michigan. Other dates for the 2014 Farmers Markets at the Capitol are Thursdays, July 31 and September 25.
