The SWMHC Fall Troll Trot is a one day dryland dog mushing race for the novice and the experienced musher. We will host a canicross, bikejor, scooter and rig race utilizing one to six dogs in varying categories. Participants will need their own equipment and dogs. No choker chains, prong collars, whips or passengers allowed. There are 7 events: 1 dog Canicross (1.1 mile); 1 dog bikejor (1.1 mile); 1 dog scooter (1.1 mile); 2 dog bikejor (3 miles); 2 dog scooter (3 miles); 4 dog rig (3 miles); and 6 dog rig (3 miles). All events are timed. All dogs are welcome but must be current on vaccines. All race participants are REQUIRED to attend the driver meeting. Awards will be issued at the end of the event for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as Red Lantern Awards for last place. A pot-luck gathering will be held after the event at the campground. Camping can be reserved through the DNR at www.midnrreservations.com.
Participants MUST register for the event. Late fees apply to entries received on the day of the event or any entry postmarked after 3/1/2016. Day of event registration ends at 9 a.m. - NO EXCEPTIONS! Official members of The Southwest Michigan Husky Club receive discounted entries. Entries can be downloaded from the SWMHC website or Facebook. You can indicate on your registration form if you would like your payment returned, destroyed or donated. We will post any cancellation notice on our Facebook page within 48 hours of the event.
