Ludington State Park invites visitors to come cross-country ski, snowshoe or hike beautiful lantern-lit trails and enjoy some outdoor fun with their family and friends. The lighted trail begins at the park warming shelter located next to the parking lot at the end of State Highway M-116. There are 40 pairs of snowshoes that will be lent out first come, first-served. Snowshoes fit ages 10 and up. Park staff will be on hand to help visitors get started. Participants should dress warmly in layers. Along the trail, a campfire will be available where visitors can warm themselves and enjoy a hot beverage. For more information about these programs please call 231-843-9261. Please Note: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources makes every effort to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information on the web calendar. However, dates occasionally change and events may be canceled for any reason. Please call the unit hosting the event to confirm dates and times prior to your arrival.
