Join birding enthusiast Joe Kurnik as he provides a FREE introduction to birding! Learn how to identify birds by characteristics, behavior and the use of a field guide. Gain a better understanding of bird habitat, great areas for birding in Michigan and how to get connected with area Audubon Clubs. Muskegon State Park is home to a nesting pair of Bald Eagles as well as a wide variety of unique bird species. Join us as we explore the park, enjoy the tranquility of nature and seek out some beautiful birds. Binoculars will be available for use, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have them. Meet at the Oak Shelter in the Muskegon State Park Snug Harbor day use area.
