Rare Treasurer - Over 1.5 million tiny wood pieces in art form. My Father’s Love is a uniquely compelling 120 foot long FREE ART EXHIBIT that can only be appreciated by seeing it in person. Taking over 20 years to complete, without drawings or sketches, Ed Lantzer (1932-2009), from Kalkaska, MI, designed the 30 panels, each 4-feet by 8-feet, weighing approximately 400 pounds each. While homeless much of the time, and living in an abandoned schoolhouse, Ed found wood in dumpsters and cut 1½ million half-inch diamond-shaped pieces of colorful, yet natural wood tones. Feel free to take pictures, stay and contemplate the work, and return as often as you wish.
