There are lots of festivals and fairs each summer in the tri-county area, but the Shelby Township Art Fair is one that you don’t want to miss. The main feature is a great variety of art to see, and maybe even take home, but there is so much more for all ages to enjoy at this 30th annual event held on Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11. Nearly 80 artists from near and far will be exhibiting and selling their works under the shade of the trees on the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds located at 52700 Van Dyke, just south of 24 Mile Road. Parking and entry is free and there will also be a free shuttle bus to take visitors from and to the Shelby Community Center for additional free parking. Visitors will enjoy some great tasting, reasonably priced food, and the first 400 families each day will receive a sponsor “swag” tote bag filled with flyers, coupons, and promotional items. As always, there will be musical entertainment at the band shell and some great free crafts in the Kid’s Corner, but the entertainment lineup doesn’t stop there.
