Grounded in historical fact, the The Castaways' plot, delivered through flashbacks, reveals the struggles of immigrant children on the streets of New York City in the early 1900s. Ultimately, the happy endings for these “castaways” take them to homes with Midwestern families. Their poignant stories sensitize today's children to the stark realities of homelessness. Production dates are Friday, August 1-3 and August 8-10, 2014. Show times are at 7pm on Fridays and 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for ages 12 and under. You can purchase tickets at the community center office. Event held at the Schmidt Community Center.
