1801 W. St. Andrews
The eight members of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain sing and pluck their way into hearts across the globe in celebration of this humble instrument. With their knack for daffy physical comedy and pun-filled banter, they use renditions of everything from Talking Heads’ Psycho Killer, to Handel and Queen, to forever change your view of music, humor, and this tiny, four-stringed instrument. It’s Monty Python with 32 strings! Audience members are encouraged to bring their own ukuleles for an audience participation piece, “American Girl” by Tom Petty.
