In Monroe County you will find two Performing Arts facilities. The new state-of-the-art La-Z-Boy Center Meyer Theater and the River Raisin Centre for the Arts. At either venue you will see and hear theatrical groups, comedy, music and so much more.

Our County Parks are open from April through October. Hike, have a summer picnic, launch a canoe, or slide down a super slide. Visit the River Raisin National Battlefield and learn about the War of 1812 and Sterling State Park, the only state park on Lake Erie, an excellent place to relax on a summer day.
Enjoy our small town atmosphere with easy access to three major metropolitan cities, Lake Erie shoreline and acres of parkland. Camp along the Lake Erie shore at Sterling State Park and enjoy boating, fishing on Lake Erie, which is also known as the Walleye Capitol of the World, hiking and bird watching.
