  • Horizon Books
    Book signings, live music and blazing fireplaces keep Horizon Books open until 11 p.m. Three locations: Traverse City, Cadillac and Petoskey.

  • Chillermania
    Jonathan Rand, author of Michigan chiller favorites like Kreepy Klowns of Kalamazoo and Poltergeists of Petoskey, often visits this Indian River location.
  • Curwood Castle
    This French-style chateau in Owosso is now a museum celebrating the life and works of James Oliver Curwood, once the highest paid author in the world.
