Hands-On Group Cooking Classes -- The owners of Sherwood Forest Bed & Breakfast have designed a culinary weekend you won't want to miss out on. Festivities kick off with martinis and risotto at a nearby restaurant. After a stress-free evening and gourmet breakfast, it's off to Saugatuck and Douglas, where you'll experience a day of awesome shopping. Then it's off to join either Chef LaPerriere or Chef Galligan, where you will hone your cooking skills. They will confidently guide you on a culinary journey, integrating their experiences, philosophies and tricks-of-the-trade. Their passion for food, thorough explanation of techniques and easy-going approach to learning will have you cooking like a pro in no time.
Fusion 1 Cafe -- Chef Craig Fiebke offers up the freshest contemporary international cuisine in the area and the only Sushi Bar in Bay County. The eatery is known for its fine gourmet lunch and dinner menus and offers cooking demonstrations and instructional culinary classes.
The Farm Restaurant -- This eatery specializes in "Heartland" cuisine. All menu items are prepared from scratch with seasonal herbs and produce from the restaurant’s five-acre garden. Many award winning recipes from the U.S. Culinary Olympic team are featured.
