Summer may be winding down, but there are some great art events on the late summer schedule including the Labor Day Weekend art fairs in Curtis, East Tawas, Port Austin and St. Ignace. The enormously popular Arts Beats and Eats, a multi-sensory mix of visual artists, music and plenty of food is September 3-6 in Royal Oak. The Art & Apples Festival September 10-12 stars the fall fruit (get in line for the homemade apple pie) and 250 artists in a park setting in downtown Rochester. With an historic covered bridge as the backdrop artists display and demonstrate their crafts and music and fun fill the park for Lowell’s Fallasburg Fall Festival, September 25-26. And be sure to look for arts & crafts booths at Michigan’s many harvest festivals throughout September and into October, as well.
