Presidents Day Events/Exhibits/Packages

Every year on the third Monday in February our country celebrates a federal holiday, Presidents Day, to honor George Washington, our first president. With the extended weekend it’s a perfect time to get out and enjoy some Pure Michigan indoor and outdoor fun. Several resorts are offering weekend packages to encourage a visit to the ski slopes where the powder is more than ready for downhill skiing, or to take cross country ski treks, go snowboarding and other winter pursuits. Michigan has more than 42 ski areas, over 200 chairlifts, 840 runs and 40 terrain parks.  Indoor activities abound with the warm and wet fun at Michigan’s indoor water parks to special museum exhibitions for the entire family to enjoy. There are several winter celebrations during the weekend to enjoy with friends and family. Don’t forget you can also indulge at one the many luxurious and award-winning spas that make for a serene Pure Michigan escape.
