Individual breweries host tastings and special events throughout the summer, such as the June 17 pig roast and beach party celebrating the Rochester Mills Beer Co. 12th Anniversary in downtown Rochester. At Original Gravity Brewing Company in Milan you can enjoy a beer and pick up fresh local produce at the Farmers Market on the patio from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday through the season. Micro Madness is the theme of the August 12 monthly beer tasting at Arbor Brewing Company in Ann Arbor, featuring two dozen beers and appetizer buffet. There’s something going on just about every day at The Livery, which creates “Hand Forged Microbrews” in Benton Harbor. Be there June 27 for Freakin’ Firkin Sunday as the Brewmaster taps the Firkin cask of ale and Irish music fills the air.
