The Midwest’s longest drive-through holiday light display illuminates a four-mile route through Edward Hines Drive through December 31 (except on Christmas). Load up the vehicle, pay the $5 donation and begin the leisurely Wayne County Lightfest cruise on Merriman Road between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue.
Millions of sparkling lights decorate Cereal City during the International Festival of Lights in Battle Creek, through December 31, with special seasonal events sprinkled throughout the month.
Lansing’s Potter Park Zoo glows during its Wonderland of Lights, Thursdays-Sundays through December 26. In the Flint area, depending on the evening, you can drive or hop aboard the Huckleberry Railroad for a train ride through the annual lighting display as part of Christmas at Crossroads at Crossroads Village, on long weekends in December.
