Don’t get us wrong – we bleed Maize and Blue all year long. But if you’re coming to Ann Arbor to watch the Wolverines dominate on the gridiron, then you should also check out the amazing fall events happening around town and in the surrounding area. Below are a few of the great options happening this month. You can also check out our full calendar of events for more information.
It’s not fall until you’ve had your first cup of cider and a freshly made donut! Fortunately, Ann Arbor has a number of locations in the surrounding area for you to do both! In addition, you can participate in fun fall festivals, hayrides and other activities specific to each location. Visit Ann Arbor and make a weekend of it by touring all four: Alber Orchard & Cider Mill (Manchester), Dexter Cider Mill (Dexter), Wasem's Fruit Farm (Milan) and Wiard's Orchard (Ypsilanti).
Treats Aplenty on Main Street
There’s something magical about Halloween that makes everyone want to join in the fun. The Main Street Area Association is coordinating its 13th Annual Treat Parade which goes from 11am to 5pm. You can also come down early to catch a spooky tale at the public library.
Fall Color along the Huron River
Northern Michigan has always been a destination for those seeking the beautiful reds, yellows, oranges and golds that decorate the autumn skyline. However, the scenic Huron River also provides ample opportunity to take in Mother Nature’s colorful palette. Whether you’re traveling down the river in a canoe or kayak, or staying on dry land at one of our many parks, the fall colors are amazing to behold. They don’t call us Tree Town for nothing!
