Brickhouse of Somerset

Brickhouse of Somerset

Take a step back in time and visit the BrickHouse of Somerset… located on US-12 just 1 mile West of US-127 in Somerset, Michigan. Amenities abound for the historian of any age. The BrickHouse was one of the largest farms built along the Sauk Trail, the Indian trail that linked Detroit to Chicago. Traveled by the Pony Express, it soon became a wagon trail. Eventually the Sauk became the stagecoach route linking the East to the West. Many travelers have passed the front porch of the beautiful Eastlake style Victorian built in 1888 by George Anson Smith.
