The day-use area boasts an 820-acre lake with a sand beach and virgin northern hardwoods. There is also an 8-mile Clark Lake/Lakeshore Hiking Trail around Clark Lake offering beautiful scenery and excellent wildlife viewing. Common bird species you may encounter: barred owls, pileated woodpecker, red-eyed vireo, and yellow-rumped and black throated blue warblers. Portions of this area are open to public hunting.
