Albert Dean started Riverside Creamery in 1916, specializing in making butter for which he achieved a splendid reputation. There have been several owners over the years, the most recent being Gery Bentley who purchased the business in 1987. On September 28, 2010 an arson fire destroyed the historic building, but like a Phoenix it rose from the ashes…and the newly completed building was honored during a grand re-opening on March 5, 2011. Situated along the scenic Kalamazoo River -- is your home for hand-made ice cream (including the Monster Malt) and a full menu of grill items. Open for the season on the first Saturday in March thru mid-fall.
