Description
Independence Day County Park is a 360-acre facility with nature trails winding through marsh, forest and nature tall-grass prairie. Boardwalks and the observation tower provides a unique group viewing opportunity. Independence Lake is an exceptional spring water fowl birding area. Amenities also include field game space, fishing, picnic pavilions, children's play area and two swimming beaches along with spray zone for children under 12. This unique park is open year-round. Winter opportunities include ice fishing, ice skating, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
