The lakes are considered good fishing lakes and the larger ones are enjoyable for boating, swimming, and water skiing. Our rivers produce many trout and other fish. They also provide canoeing and camping. This county being almost 50 percent state and federal land provides miles where you can hunt, bike, enjoy bird watching, photograph wild flowers and pick mushrooms without trespassing on private property.
