Leland is located between Lake Leelanau and Lake Michigan, in Leelanau County, about 25 miles northwest of Traverse City. Leland is both beautiful and unique. We offer numerous impressive dining opportunities, great views, beaches, art galleries, and boutique shopping. Leland also offers a historical district known as Fishtown, along the Carp River and Lake Michigan. This turn-of-the-{last}-century fishing village still operates as a commercial fishery; but now also includes a dozen shops and art galleries within the old weather beaten shanties. Leland also features a full service marina on Lake Michigan, a river connecting to Lake Leelanau, the Leelanau Historical Museum, and the Leland Country Club.
