Manistique Tourism Council

Stretching north from Lake Michigan's shore to within five miles of Lake Superior, there just isn't much way to avoid passing through the county. There's just so much to see and do in Schoolcraft County that an entire summer can be spent right here. From quiet walks along white-sand beaches on Lake Michigan to canoeing down a wilderness river to catching a crowd-pleasing summer festival. And attractions such as the Seney National Wildlife Refuge with it's nearly endless list of birds and other wildlife, or the Big Spring called Kitchi-ti-kipi that flow at the rate ten-thousand gallons of water per-minute keeps the mystery of the Northwoods alive and well.
