Marquette Regional History Center/Marquette County History Museum

Fully immersive, interactive exhibits include an authentic pioneer cabin moved log by log from a local homestead, a fur trading post, an Ojibwe wigwam, a Finnish sauna, a Yooper camp, what's underwater in Lake Superior and a full size beaver dam. See the first solar compass, invented by William Austin Burt, a portion of the Palestra arena, a full size canoe built from one piece of birchbark and amazing gun collection. Kiosks offer original interviews with Sentinal and Iron Ranger Hockey Players, or learn about history from local veterans of many wars. Watch vintage film footage of Henry Ford in the UP.
