Fully immersive, interactive exhibits include an authentic pioneer cabin moved log by log from a local homestead, a fur trading post, an Ojibwe wigwam, a Finnish sauna, a Yooper camp, what's underwater in Lake Superior and a full size beaver dam. See the first solar compass, invented by William Austin Burt, a portion of the Palestra arena, a full size canoe built from one piece of birchbark and amazing gun collection.
