The Porcupine Mountains Convention and Visitor Bureau welcomes you to the area! The Porcupine Mountains area is a favored vacation spot, nestled on the south shore of Lake Superior. You may feel you have reached the end of the world. No hustle and bustle here, since we are off the beaten path. The Porcupine Mountains CVB is here to help make your vacation all that it can be! Offering hundreds of miles of hiking trails, mountain bike trails, cross-country ski trails, and wildlife from birds to bears, the area has something for everyone. Want to add a little education to your adventure? The area is rich in history with many historic sites to take in at your leisure. More into the paranormal? Don’t miss the Paulding Mystery Light. Spend your days meandering along the shore, visiting the mines, hiking in the wilderness, or just relaxing at any of the lodging available in the area. What you won’t find are traffic lights and cell phone signals … you can really get away from it all!
