The Dow Event Center
The Dow Event Center contributes much to the recent history of The City of Saginaw. The Saginaw Civic Center was built by The City in 1972. The Civic Center was comprised of three main parts: Wendler Arena, Heritage Theater, and Unity Hall. Since 1972, The Center has been through some major transformations all while serving The Tri-Cities as a first-class event venue, offering residents hundreds of entertainment, sport, cultural, and educational opportunities. The Dow Chemical Company of Midland was awarded naming rights to the facility in September 2004. The agreement was mutually beneficial; Dow was able to support a worthy community endeavor and The Event Center was given an internationally recognized name to help draw performers, ensuring The Dow Event Center as a vital part of the Saginaw community for years to come.
The Dow Event Center is becoming a competitor not only in the entertainment business but the business of special catered events. Community members are seeking out The Dow Event Center to host Anniversary Celebrations, Wedding Receptions, High School Proms, and everything in between. The Dow Event Center also boasts various areas to hold meetings, conventions and trade shows.
